Flipping Out A Lomax Biggs Mystery Book 3 edition by Marshall Karp Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

Nora Bannister writes murder mysteries with a twist – a very lucrative twist. She buys a run-down house in LA, and while her business partners turn it into a showpiece, Nora makes it the scene of a grisly murder and the star of the next book in her bestselling House To Die For series,
As soon as the book goes on sale, there’s a bidding frenzy for the house. It seems a lot of people are willing to pay a lot of money to live in a real house where a fictional character has died a violent death.
Just before Nora’s latest book hits the market, one of her house-flipping partners is murdered. LAPD Detectives Mike Lomax and Terry Biggs are assigned the case, but this one is hot a potato – the dead woman is also the wife of one of their fellow cops.
As Mike and Terry dig into the victim’s private life, the unthinkable happens. Nora is murdered, along with her daughter Julia, the wife of another cop.
Is someone stalking cops’ families, or is the killer out to murder the house-flippers? Either way, Mike and Terry have to track him down before he murders his next logical target. Marilyn Biggs – Terry’s wife.

I started with the NYPD Red series first and enjoyed that so much that I went looking for other Marshall Karp material. I came upon the Lomax & Biggs series and really enjoy that as well. I like that he has good drama, but incorporates some comedy as well. I find the Lomax character to be very much like the Zach Jordan character of the NYPD series, but I enjoy the fact that with Lomax and Biggs we don't have the relationship/sexual chemistry to think about. Overall a good series and this one about the house flippers was interesting. He has some out of the box situations in all the books that are good.Product details

Flipping Out A Lomax Biggs Mystery Book 3 edition by Marshall Karp Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
Karp writes the third installment in his Lomax and Biggs series. Flipping out chronicles the "LA Flippers" - five cops' wives and one mother-in-law who are flipping houses for profit. The kicker - the mother-in-law is a best selling mystery writer who conjures a story for each house - "Murder at ---", and of course the house is a must-read, must-buy winner. But someone starts killing the flippers .... and Lomax and Biggs catch the case.
The detectives run down blind alleys and dead ends with their usual witty one-liners. The case is a little close to home as Biggs' wife Marilyn is one of the flippers. Just as the case seems wrapped up with a bow - it all unravels and the chase begins again.
This is a fun, laugh out loud story with likable characters. Karp is a winner.
I began to read Mr Karp's books after he co-authored with James Patterson. I am thrilled to have discovered the Lomax and Biggs series.I have read 3 of them so far and not been disappointed at all. I would recommend to any lover of mystery/detective stories.
This is the third book in the series, and although it can be read without reading the previous ones, you will miss out on some of the interactions between the characters. If you have read the previous ones, by now you have realised that there is something addictive about this series. The mysteres are interesting, the plots are usually well developed and seeded, but it is the dry humour that will turn into a habit. This book in pàrticular was very interesting but the end's final twist is somewhat not grounded enough, which undermines the plot as a whole.
WOW, right when you think you've got this figured out, it takes a 360 turn. I've read books by Marshall Karp and have really enjoyed each, especially this one. It's fun, it's serious, it's murder with twists you never see coming. He really knows how to keep your interest and wanting more. To me that's the way a master storyteller writes his mysteries. I simply can't wait to read even more of his books.
I read it like a novel should be read -- pleasantly accepting unlikely plot lines to get to the payoff. Then came the final plot twist, and i was horrified by the loss of the final victim. I couldn't believe it, but i was actually emotionally involved with the characters. ME! Mr. Cool reader!
This one is a three pointer!
This series is not high literature. It is fun to read, easy to follow, and full of interesting characters. When a good whodunit also makes you laugh out loud a few times, that's what I call a "fun crime story."
Marshall Karp keeps the action moving, the plot spinning, the suspects changing and the good guys winning. Maybe that is the highest achievement of an author--reader enjoyment.
I'm ready for the next one!
I Love Marshall Karp and 3 weeks ago, I didn't know anything about him except that he sometimes writes with James Patterson. I saw a review of a book in which someone mentioned Karp's characters, Lomax and Biggs. Said they were wonderful and that peaked my curiosity. I looked them up and the reviews were very good so I ordered all of the books - sadly, there are only four. I was hooked from the first chapter I read in this book. I tremendously enjoyed the rest of it too! Now I'm reading The Rabbit Factory and loving it too. What a refreshing change to have a little humor here and there.
I can't say enough nice things about this book. It's terrific and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too.
